A Tenure Track Faculty Position in
Teaching/Learning

The University of Utah, College of Nursing is looking for a doctoral prepared faculty member with formal preparation and expertise in Teaching and Learning. Active research in this area is required. This person would join a group of seasoned faculty teaching in this program. Come join a dynamic faculty group who love teaching and conducting research and enjoy the outdoors.

The University of Utah offers graduate study in the teaching nursing specialty, with programs of study leading to a Master of Science degree, post-master's certification or specialty preparation in nursing education at the doctoral level. Other teaching opportunities are available as well across the Baccalaureate, Masters, and Doctoral Programs depending on faculty interest and experience. New teaching strategies are encouraged, with opportunities and support to conduct research. Teaching students is an integral part of the faculty role at the College of Nursing.

The College of Nursing is a doctoral/research extensive institution and is part of a large Health Sciences Center which, also, includes Colleges of Medicine, Health and Pharmacy, as well as large, University Hospital and Clinic facilities. In the Fall of 2005, a new Health Sciences Education Building will open with avant-garde classrooms, computer rooms, support services and beautiful environmental space. The building will be located adjacent to the College of Nursing.
