Student Resourcesbr>
The College of Nursing building is located among the health science facilities on the university campus. Special features of this building include self-paced, basic and advanced mediated learning resources laboratories (including a television studio with full color production capability), a computer center, graduate study carrels, conference rooms and classrooms, a research office, a student lounge, and faculty and administrative offices. For students, the College of Nursing building functions as "home base"-a place to socialize and develop professional relationships as well as to learn and study.
The Marriott Library offers extensive learning resource rooms with computer terminals and audiovisual equipment. The Documents Division, a depository for U.S. government documents and United Nations publications, houses historical and current publications in the sciences and social sciences. The library is open 105 hours per week (with extended hours before finals week) and provides individual study carrels as well as group study rooms. The Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library is located immediately northeast of the College of Nursing. It has strong journal, monograph, document, and media collections in the basic and clinical sciences. It provides information and reference services and is connected to a computer network with other academic health sciences libraries nationwide. The library is a selective depository for U.S. government publications and its well equipped media department houses films, videotapes, and learning packages on health-related subjects. The library is open 100 hours per week (with extended hours before finals week) and has individual study carrels, group study rooms, and comfortable lounges on all three floors. |
